We cannot control all that happens to us!

As human beings, we cannot control all that happens to us– that’s the fate part. We have to admit that. Life runs along according to its own course. But what we do have enormous control over is the way we respond to what life sends our way. So that’s the partnership: do your best–the very best that you know how to do in every dimension of your life — and then let life do the rest. It’s really a delicate balance between making it happen and letting it happen.

Say good bye to helplessness: Being helpless is a test. The test is how we react to that feeling/situation. Either we can learn from the experience and plan to move forward or let the feeling/situation drag us down. We have to do our best always. We should learn from the situation. We should move forward and should say good bye to helplessness.

Be passionate: We should work to pursue our passions relentlessly. Warren Buffett recommends finding your truest passions using, what he calls, the 5/25 technique: Write down the 25 things that you care about the most. Then, cross out the bottom 20. The remaining 5 are your true passions. Everything else is merely a distraction.

Take action: Fear and anxiety are paralyzing emotions and that the best way to overcome this paralysis is to take action. It’s not that people with a growth mind set are able to overcome their fears because they are braver than the rest of us; it’s just that they know how to take the action. So we should set our goals and take action to achieve it.

Go for the extra mile: There are no limits. There are plateaus, but we must not stay there; you must go beyond them. A man must constantly exceed his level. We should always try to exceed yesterday by doing a little bit great today and every day.

Be flexible: Two words are enough to understand “Embrace adversity”

Don’t’ complain when things don’t go your way: Complaining is an obvious sign of a fixed mind-set. A growth mind-set looks for opportunity in everything, so there’s no room for complaints. If you face any problem then go for the solution this is a very simple rule.

Bring it all together: By keeping track of how you respond to the little things, you can work every day to keep yourself on the right side of the chart above.
